Centre: Archway braid, using 16 pairs. Note that for the first side of this braid you should work Archway in reverse. Turn the curve in cloth stitch and work decorative short rows, using the pinholes marked. Roll with 3 pairs. 3. Filling worked in torchon ground: half-stitch, pin, half-stitch and twist, and tallies where marked. 4. The adjoining Archway braids, one on each side, are worked with 17 pairs (no edge pair is needed on the side where sewings are taken). Note that the Archway crossing is made with only 6 pairs (3 pairs from each side) instead of 8 pairs.
